The entire Real Madrid squad and coaching staff met at restaurant Casa Juan
Real Madrid’s first football team met at Casa Juan for their first luncheon of the new season. The entire squad and coaching staff left Valdebebas after this morning’s training session. The first to arrive were Fernando Gago and Di Maria. Coach Jose Mourinho was the last person to enter the restaurant.
Team captains Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos came up with the idea of meeting up for lunch to begin the season with positive feelings. Casillas, the new signings and Jose Mourinho gave short speeches filled with affection for everyone present.
Real Madrid chairman Florentino Perez has made a special book with rules for players of his club. One of the rules is that players are not allowed to go out during the night.
Other rules are less spectacular. The players of Madrid should always be open to fans and they should respect the club and show their commitment to Real at all times.
Avoiding dangerous situations and co-operation with the press are other rules that Perez put up for his players.
The strict regime of the club isn’t that remarkable considering the height of the salaries and the age of the players.
But in Spain, people doubt if a player like Cristiano Ronaldo will follow the rules. The Portugese superstar has already been spotted several times in the Spanish nightlife with his new friends Sergio Ramos and Fernando Gago.
One by one, the players were fitted for their suits. Jerzy Dudek was the first to walk through the door. As players trickled in there were greetings and hugs after a month apart due to the summer break.
For the players’ streetwear, Hugo Boss has chosen a confortable but classy design. Each player and member of the training staff will receive two grey and black suits, a grey and white shirt, a grey sweater, black and white polo shirts, blue casual pants, shoes, ties and undergarments.
