Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo believes the Spanish capital outfit can claim the Champions League crown this season.
The Santiago Bernabeu side are already through to the competition's knock-out stages after picking up a perfect 12 points from their first four games.
Ronaldo reckons there are many clubs who can pose a threat to Madrid, but says his team is well equipped to clinch the Champions League trophy, which they have not won since 2001–02.
"At this club, it has always been a great pleasure to win the Champions League," Ronaldo toldRecord.
"Real are always favourite to win the trophy, but we also know that it is very hard to get it. But I think it is possible for us to win it.
"About our opponents, they are always the same: Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United, ACmillan, Inter and Bayern Munich."
The Portugal international, who has been at Madrid since 2009, went on to praise the club's current crop.
"This may be the best Madrid team since I arrived at the club, but we are going to have to win things to confirm it," Ronaldo noted.
"I hope we can continue like this, so that, in the end, we can be proud of what we did. I know the fans like what they have seen and that is the most important thing for us.
"We feel a great connection with the fans, we are playing well and the team's good moment is also the reflection of what the crowd give us."
Ronaldo is one of the 23 players who are on the shortlist for the 2011 Fifa Ballon d'Or award, but the 26-year-old stressed that he is only thinking about club matters.
"I am only focused on Real Madrid and, right now, that award does not worry me," he noted.
"What I want to do is continue playing well, providing assists and scoring goals, so that we can keep our level and the leadership in the league.
"That is what I am focused on."
